TeamF1 Joins Forces with Wind River to Provide Security and QoS Solutions for VxWorks
SSHield’s Secure Shell implementation & ClassHopper’s Alternate Queuing Disciplines offer Tornado users drop-in components for low resource embedded environments.
Fremont Calif. -- March 27, 2002 -- TeamF1, Inc. a leading developer of software product suites for embedded networking and security, and Wind River Systems Inc. (Nasdaq:WIND), the market leader in embedded software, today announced that TeamF1 has joined Wind River’s WindLink™ Partner Program. TeamF1 and Wind River will cooperate to offer VxWorks® developers robust security and Quality of Service (QoS) solutions with simplified provisioning and administration features.

"
Working with TeamF1 for the past several years has led to a creative and reliable relationship. We are very pleased to have them join our WindLink Partner Program. Our integrated products will be of great value to our joint customers,” said Caroline Yao, director of partner solutions at Wind River.

SSHield, an open-standards based, small-footprint Secure Shell implementation for VxWorks, integrates the core server and client components needed to implement a secure communication channel over insecure networks.

ClassHopper, a high performance alternate queuing discipline framework for VxWorks enables traffic prioritization for congestion management and bandwidth allocation management for critical network data streams.

SSHield and ClassHopper are now available for VxWorks 5.x and AE.

“Embedded software developers are striving to achieve leaner foot prints and quicker time-to-revenue cycles, in the face of increasing security and connectivity requirements. By joining Wind River’s WindLink Partner Program we help our joint customers with their time-to-market goals by giving them a solution that they can take advantage of and not lose sleep over,” said Mukesh Lulla, President and co-founder of TeamF1. “TeamF1’s innovative solutions, in conjunction with Wind River’s high-performance and reliable operating system components, will give our joint customers the solution they are looking for”.
