| Interphase and TeamF1 Partner to
Provide Optimized Network Security Solutions |
PLANO, Texas,
September 21, 2004 –
Interphase Corporation (NASDAQ: INPH), an international
supplier of next-generation networking technologies, and
TeamF1, Inc., a leading provider
of technologically-advanced, high-quality embedded software
products and services, today announced a partnership to
provide comprehensive hardware and software security
acceleration solutions targeted at optimizing the
performance of the burgeoning embedded security market.
According to International Data Corporation (IDC) research,
the market for network security hardware, software, and
services is forecasted to reach $45 billion by 2006. “As
network traffic volumes continue to rise, many of our
customers are under market pressures to offer quick and
effective solutions to the network bottleneck issues created
by today’s VPNs, gateways, secure routers and firewalls,”
said Randall McComas, Vice President of Sales and Marketing
at Interphase Corporation. “The combination of
Interphase security acceleration hardware and
TeamF1
software provides them with a plug and play hardware and
software solution that increases their network efficiency
and response times by offloading bandwidth intensive
security protocol processing from their host CPU.”
This partnership brings to market complete end-to-end
network security solutions by combining Interphase security
acceleration cards including the
45NS and
55NS, and TeamF1 software products for
embedded networking
and security, enabling optimized network security
solutions to be easily integrated into a variety of network
environments. Both hardware and software are highly
configurable and capable of addressing a variety of system
functions resulting in improved network efficiency and
response times, faster development times, and reduced time
to market. These solutions are designed to add value to the
Internet, telecommunications and data communications,
networking, industrial automation and control, and aerospace
and defense markets.
“TeamF1 is focused on providing highly-configurable, lean,
and reliable drop-in security components that shorten
time-to-revenue cycles of complex embedded applications,”
said Mukesh Lulla, President, TeamF1, Inc. “Interphase
hardware accelerators complement our
V-IPSecure and
SSLimSecure
products, and the TeamF1 and Interphase combined solutions
enable us to continue delivering flexible, cost-effective
security solutions to our customers.”
