What kind of support do you provide for your products? |
|
|
All of
TeamF1's products - source or object licenses - come with a
90 day comprehensive warranty. Our support and maintenance
services include help with installation, API-level technical
support, integration into your target application, and any
new versions released in that time-frame. This is
provided under the terms of maintenance on an annual basis.
For custom work in integrating our products with your
embedded application, you can also take advantage of our
consulting
services on a turnkey or hourly basis. |
 |
 |
|
 |
Are your products royalty-free? |
|
|
All of
TeamF1's products are based on an upfront development fee
model and have no royalties associated with them unless
specifically negotiated as a part of the sale. We believe in
offering our customer maximum flexibility for using our
products and will work with you to find the right business
model to license our solutions. Please contact
sales@TeamF1.com if you feel that a more customized
licensing model works better for you. |

|
 |
Do you provide source code to your products? |
|
|
Absolutely! Our products are are available on an OEM source-license basis.
For customers who would prefer object-code
versions of our products as a way to get started off, or
reduce upfront costs, we also do provide object distributions and step-up licensing options
to move to a source code license. Please contact
sales@TeamF1.com for more details. Again, we believe
strongly in working with our customers to find the business
model that works best for them. |

 |
Why not use the networking software that came out of the box
with the OS? |
|
|
Some of
our products overlap with modules and components that
overlap with ones provided by the OS vendor as well. In such
cases, please note that there are usually many good reasons
to use our version of these modules. Our consulting account
managers can help you compare the features and benefits of
going with either option. |
 |
Some of them include: |
|
|
 |
TeamF1's solution
may present a lower cost per unit based on royalties. |
 |
TeamF1's product
may be a higher-performance version of the native
version. |
 |
TeamF1's offering
may have features that you need which are not present in
the standard version. |
 |
A commercial OS
vendor's solution may not be part of the base OS distribution and
you may need to license the component separately anyway,
so why not look around and choose the best one. After
all, all of TeamF1's products are integrated with the
base operating systems they support as well as the OS
vendors' products. |
 |
Components thrown
in as a part of a "platform" for "free", frequently are
nothing more than loose bundles and do not match the
specialization and sophistication that is required for
the maintenance of advanced networking and security
technologies. |
